Boulder County rent assistance programs.

Tenants in Boulder County Colorado can find help with paying their rent from the agencies below, ranging from churches to charities or government agencies. Several organizations may provide eviction prevention services, offer emergency rental assistance, run homeless shelters, or otherwise help low income families with their housing needs. There may also be grants to pay security deposits or free motel vouchers. Resources are limited but the groups do what they can to offer immediate or long term support..

It is recommend to call to ask for rent or financial help before you receive an eviction notice. Once a family or individual receives an eviction or pay or quit notice from their landlord than their options are more limited. If the resident is already homeless, then several shelters or short term transitional housing programs can be used as well. The leading non-profit organizations or government programs that provide emergency rental assistance are below.

Short term shelters and transitional housing resources include the following. While not as common, the sites may have some funds to pay first month’s rent or a security deposit for someone looking to move into new housing. In addition, local Boulder County police departments may even be able to assist some individuals with or emergency housing requests.
